Jane Ozeki
6th Dan, Shidoin, New York Aikikai
Ozeki Sensei has been studying aikido with Yamada Sensei since 1971. She started instructing at New York Aikikai in 1974, where she currently teaches one of the morning classes. Ozeki Sensei has been a featured guest instructor at seminars in the United States, South America and Europe.
"I've never really thought of myself as a role model for women only. I see myself as an aikidoist who happens to be a woman. So for me, when I go to seminar it has never occurred to me to be a woman aikidoist doing a 'womens' seminar.' The seminar is really for all--- for everybody."
